Huayna Potosi 6,088m (3 Days).

[wp-svg-icons icon=»paste-2″ wrap=»i»] Day 1.- On the first day we will depart La Paz for Laguna Zongo (4,750m) where we will set up camp. We will then take a short trek to the base of the glacier, where we will spend the afternoon practicing many different techniques on the ice (walking, climbing, abseiling, rescue techniques, etc.).

[wp-svg-icons icon=»paste-2″ wrap=»i»] Day 2.- After breakfast we will start the ascent (mostly on rock) to the Rock Camp (5,135m), where we will set camp on the glacier. Hiking time for 2-3 hours moraine.

[wp-svg-icons icon=»paste-2″ wrap=»i»] Day 3.- On day 3 we will begin early (1 am) to make our way to the summit (6,088m). From the top of the peak we will be able to enjoy views of the altiplano, La Paz, the valleys entering into the jungle, Lake Titicaca and the entire Cordillera Real. We will then start our descent back to base camp and onward to Laguna Zongo, where our vehicle will be waiting for us to return to La Paz.

Choro. (3days)

[wp-svg-icons icon=»paste-2″ wrap=»i»] DAY 1.- La Paz – Challapampa.
After a good breakfast depart by vehicle from La Paz towards a very high place called La Cumbre (4.700 m.) It lasts about one hour and a half. There the porters and cooks organice the camping gear to carry during the trip. We start the trekking through La Cumbre to Challapampa descending the well-preserved Inca trail in the valley of the same name. Declining further arriving in the afternoon to the town of Challapampa – Camping (5/6 hours hike).

[wp-svg-icons icon=»paste-2″ wrap=»i»] DAY 2.- Challapampa – Sandillani.
After breakfast we begin with a hike of about 4 hours to reach a suspension bridge that crosses the river Chucura. On the way, we can enjoy the subtropical vegetation with an spectacular view around. Then walk along the hillside leading down to the river Jucumarini. This hike last more than three hours until reaching Sandillani to camp.

Walk down a soft slope and continue on a zigzag path until the Chairo (1,300 m), a small village producing tropical fruit, on the banks of the Huarinilla River. Continue to the villages of Yolosa and Coroico.

We will leave from La Paz heading for the population of Choquecota (3,900 m.a.s.l.) in transport deprived by two and a half hours, where our Muleteers and Cook waited to the group to be presented and take the whole camping site team. There we will begin the walk, going by the mine San Francisco and an impressive landscape of the sky Mururata (5,870 m.a.s.l.), then we will begin to ascend until arriving to the Apacheta to 4,800 m.a.s.l., the climate in this region begins to colder tornarse, after a rest in Apacheta we will begin to descend for ten minutes then we will make break later on to have the Lunch, then we will continue the walk until arriving to Takesi (3,800 m.a.s.l.). Place of the Camp.

08:30 Departure by car to San francisco mine. Trip takes 3 hours.
12:00 Lunch
13:00 Ascent through a stone paved Inca road to an impressive and unforgettable path. Then descent.
17:00 Arrival at Takesi. Night camping.

Breakfast. Trekk to Chojlla Mine, during the trip we can appreciate the exhuberant vegetation of the Yungas, from the village Kakapi (2800 m.), about 12:00 we will have lunch at the shores of the river, after one and a half hour of resting, we continue walking down to arrive in Chojlla Mine (2280 m.)
